Gouache done from a photo in the “Ice” Sketchbook.
Painted in Gouache in two hours using two colours only. Quite a challenge. In the “Ice” sketchbook.
Painted from a photo in gouache in the “Ice” sketchbook.
Using only three colours. A yellow, a red and neutral tint which is a grey.
First drew the outline using a red watercolour pencil, then started blocking in using the yellow gouache. Then used the neutral tint + some of the yellow for the background colour. The leg guard is done with a wash of neutral tint, and I used the red for the tail light. I aso mixed up the orange you see on the indicators. I mixed red with neutral tint to get a darker colour for the tyres.

I’m catching up with posting paintings and drawing from the last few months. This is a small watercolour and ink picture of some terraced houses in Bristol. From the “Ice” sketchbook.
